Where do we store your data?

MINDBODY our online booking system, stores all data in servers and backup servers located in the United States. MINDBODY has Privacy Shield certification which complies with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) related to transferring data outside of the EU. Our website has an SSL certificate for secure connections.

How can clients unsubscribe from emails sent by our MINDBODY site?

You can opt out of emails through Consumer Mode, or balance can do it on your behalf through changing your communication preference. The following MINDBODY auto emails are considered operational, and will be sent regardless of whether a client has opted out of communication preferences:

• Appointment confirmation
• Client schedule
• Forgotten login information
• Gift card delivery email
• Purchase receipt

Who can access your data?

Your data may be shared within the Balance team to provide you with the services you request. We never pass on, sell or swap your data for marketing purposes to third parties.

What are your rights?

Rights to access:

You have the right to request information and the personal data we hold on you at any time. You can contact balance and we will provide you with your personal data via email.

Rights to correct your personal data:

You have the right to correction of your personal data if the information is not correct.

Right to erasure:

You have the right to erase any personal data processed by Balance at any time except for the following situations:
• You are currently undergoing treatment at Balance or have done so within the past 8 years
• You have an open online order which has not yet been sent
• You have an unsettled debt with Balance
• If you have made any purchase, we will keep your personal data in connection to your transaction for book- keeping purposes

Right to object to direct marketing

You have the right to object to direct marketing by clicking the unsubscribe button on our (Mailchimp) newsletter footer. We only directly market to those who sign up for our newsletter and want to hear from us.

As we record and use sensitive data we take the protection of this data very seriously. We have therefore appointed a Data Protection Officer, Alan MacInnes, who is your first point of contact for any matters regarding your personal data we process. Why do we use your personal data?

We will use your personal data to manage your purchases online at balance.co.uk by processing your orders and returns via our online shop and send you notification of delivery status or in the event of an issue with delivery.
We will use your personal data to manage your payments and in order to handle complaints.
Your personal data (name and contact telephone number) will be used to identify you and validate your address.

What types of information do we process?

We process the following categories of personal data:
• contact information such as name, date of birth, address, email and telephone number
• emergency contact information (for yoga classes)
• payment information and payment history
• online order information

Your personal data is only used to provide you with the services you request. Postal suppliers in connection with the delivery of your order and payment service providers for your payment.
These companies have an independent right or obligation to process your personal data.
The processing of your personal data is necessary for Balance to fulfil the service of managing and delivering services to you.

How long do we save your data?

We will keep your data for 1 year from when you made your last purchase.
For patients with an MINDBODY account we will keep your personal data for 8 years after your last visit.

Why do we use your personal data?

We use your personal data to send you experience surveys, appointment reminders and newsletters.

Who has access to your personal data?

Data that is forwarded to third parties is only used to provide you with the services mentioned above. We never pass on, sell or swap your data for marketing purposes to third parties.

Your right to opt out of direct marketing:

You can opt out from direct marketing by unsubscribing at the bottom of our newsletter. We will keep your data for direct marketing until you unsubscribe.

Out site is fully secure. We use a leading card processing company (Pay safe) to make sure your card details are kept safe at all times.

Balance Limited uses cookies to store information on your computer. Cookies cannot harm your computer and we do not store any personally identifiable information such as credit card information. These cookies help the site function so that you can make a purchase successfully and log in securely.
